A little something I wrote for the upcoming election. If you live in Colorado, you should have your ballot by now. Vote!
I pledge allegiance to the ideal
For which the flag of America stands
And to the country that, in my studied judgment, most wisely embodies that ideal:
That government is the servant of its people;
That it is made and blessed by its people;
And that its purpose is to enrich them, and to protect them, and to unite them
When they cannot unite themselves.
